Olive Branch Counseling employs 10 clinical staff members within an outpatient private practice model. The team includes two Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), two Licensed Associate Counselors (LACs), four Clinical Interns, one Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), and one Occupational Therapist (OT). LPCs provide independent clinical services, diagnosis, treatment planning, and supervision for associate-level clinicians and interns. LACs provide direct counseling services under clinical supervision, supporting individual and family treatment. Clinical interns deliver services under supervision as part of graduate-level training, contributing to client care while developing professional competencies in accordance with CACREP standards (CACREP, 2024).
The LMSW contributes expertise in case management, systems navigation, and resource coordination, particularly when clients experience socioeconomic stressors or require community-based referrals. The OT supports clients experiencing functional impairments related to trauma, emotional dysregulation, or developmental concerns. This interdisciplinary structure promotes holistic, trauma-informed care consistent with ethical collaborative practice standards (ACA, 2014). Services are delivered in an outpatient setting with supervision embedded into clinical operations to ensure quality of care.

Ages 5 - Adult / Couples
Olive Branch Counseling serves children (age 5+), adolescents, and adults in an outpatient private practice setting in Tucson, Arizona. Clients commonly present with trauma-related disorders, anxiety, depression, grief, relational conflict, and life transition stressors. Trauma exposure and chronic stress are prevalent risk factors in community mental health settings and often contribute to co-occurring mood and anxiety disorders (SAMHSA, 2014). Child and adolescent referrals frequently originate from parents, schools, pediatricians, and occasionally court systems, with concerns such as emotional dysregulation, behavioral challenges, and trauma exposure. Adult clients commonly self-refer or are referred by primary care providers for PTSD, adjustment disorders, and relational concerns.
The agency utilizes EMDR and CBT as evidence-based interventions for trauma and mood disorders (Shapiro, 2018; Wright et al., 2017). Sand play therapy supports developmentally appropriate trauma processing in children. Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) strengthens the therapeutic alliance, which is strongly associated with positive outcomes (Norcross & Lambert, 2019). LGBTQIA+-affirming care addresses minority stress and identity-related concerns through culturally responsive practice (ACA, 2014). Services focus on improving emotional regulation, coping skills, and long-term psychological resilience within the Tucson community.

Olive Branch Counseling provides outpatient direct clinical services including diagnostic evaluations, individual therapy, family therapy, couples counseling, and occupational therapy interventions. Initial diagnostic evaluations range from $150–$200 for licensed clinicians (LPC, LMSW, LAC) and $80 for clinical interns. These evaluations establish DSM-5-TR diagnoses, assess symptom severity, identify co-occurring concerns, and inform individualized treatment planning (American Psychiatric Association, 2022).
Individual therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes in duration, with fees ranging from $65 (Clinical Intern) to $175 (LPC), reflecting level of licensure and scope of practice. Family and couples sessions are 60 minutes and range from $165–$200 depending on provider credentials. Occupational therapy services are offered at $150 for 50-minute sessions or $75 for 30-minute sessions, supporting clients with functional, sensory, or regulation-related needs.
The tiered fee structure increases access to care while maintaining supervised, ethical service delivery in accordance with ACA standards (ACA, 2014). All services are provided in an outpatient setting with supervision embedded for associate-level clinicians and interns.
Indirect client services at Olive Branch Counseling include clinical documentation, treatment planning, case conceptualization, review of assessment and screening measures, and researching evidence-based interventions to ensure ethical and effective care. These activities support diagnostic accuracy and treatment alignment with best practices, including CBT and EMDR protocols (American Psychiatric Association, 2022). Documentation and treatment planning ensure continuity of care and compliance with professional standards (ACA, 2014).

The internship site utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), Sand Play Therapy, and LGBTQIA+-affirming approaches. CBT is commonly used to address anxiety, depression, and maladaptive thought patterns, while EMDR is implemented for trauma-related disorders. Sand play therapy supports developmentally appropriate trauma processing for children. Person-Centered Therapy strengthens the therapeutic alliance through empathy and unconditional positive regard, which are strongly linked to positive treatment outcomes (Norcross & Lambert, 2019).
Based on the agency’s outpatient, trauma-informed focus, EMDR and CBT appear most effective. Research supports EMDR as an evidence-based treatment for trauma and PTSD (Shapiro, 2018), while CBT has strong empirical support for mood and anxiety disorders (Wright et al., 2017). Given the prevalence of trauma and co-occurring mood symptoms within the population served, these approaches align well with client needs and promote measurable symptom reduction.
