PROFESSIONAL IDENTITY

I am a Counselor-in-Training in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Grand Canyon University. My emerging professional identity is grounded in ethical practice, cultural humility, developmental sensitivity, and evidence-based intervention.

The counseling relationship is central to meaningful change. Research consistently demonstrates that the therapeutic alliance is one of the strongest predictors of positive treatment outcomes (Norcross & Lambert, 2019). Therefore, I strive to create a safe, collaborative, and developmentally appropriate therapeutic environment where clients feel heard and respected.

My clinical interests include:

  • Children and Adolescents

  • Neurodivergence

  • Trauma-Informed Care

  • SA Victims

  • Depression & Anxiety
